An Oral History of Hong Kong Organ Donation and Transplant Project- Students\u2019 Sharing session was held on May 5 2018, with over 100 participants attended. Dr. Kelvin Ho, the Founder and Founding President of HKOTF, Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU and Dr. Allen Cheung, ex-Director (Cluster Service) of Hospital Authority and Project Director of Chinese Medicine Hospital Project Office, attended and delivered speeches.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1\/3″][image_with_animation image_url=”1169″ alignment=”center” animation=”None”][vc_column_text]\n
HKBU and Secondary School students formed different groups to conduct 18 interviews respectively. Hong Kong Organ Transplant Foundation collaborates with Dr. Wong Man Kong, Associate Professor of Department of History, Hong Kong Baptist University to launch the Oral History of Hong Kong Organ Donation and Transplant Project. 18 stakeholders were invited for interviews to display the development and achievement of organ donation over the past decades in Hong Kong and to help increase the public awareness of organ donation.<\/p>\n
Over 80 students from Hong Kong Baptist University, Heep Yunn School, Queen Elizabeth School and Wa Ying College had participated in the project. Through preparing and conducting interviews, the students could learn from the experience of interviewees, as well as gaining knowledge about organ transplant and organ donation.<\/p>\n
A Students\u2019 Sharing Session was held on 5 May 2018. It was a showcase of students\u2019 hard work and dedication in the last few months. The participating students shared their feelings and knowledge learnt through the project. Some of the students said that they would encourage the public to support organ donation through sharing their remarkable experience.
